National Numeracy Day – 18th May
We are looking forward to celebrating National Numeracy Day on Wednesday 18th May!
Maths is all around us and in the run up to National Numeracy Day, I would love for you to take some photos of you that link to maths! Maybe it will be a picture of you using money to pay for something in the shop, maybe it will be of how many steps you have walked in a day, or maybe it will be of you practising your maths skills!
How creative can you be finding maths around your home and in the community? Please send all of your photographs to [email protected] so that I can make a video to celebrate maths!
Also, check out the official website (link below) because there are lots of fun activities that you can do with your children!
Good luck Year 6!

Y5 and Y6 Out of this World Winners
A massive shout out for Friday’s winners for Out of this World. In year 5 we had Faith, Danny, Courtney and Lola, who have all shown excellent learning attitudes over the last couple of weeks. In year 6 we had Levi, Reion and all of Crew Knowles for their excellent attitudes as they have prepared themselves, ready to tackle their SATs this week.
Y6 SATs
As you are aware, next week is year 6 SATs week.
We would like to invite all of our year 6 pupils into school from 8:15 each morning for a light breakfast and chill with their friends before the SATs begin.
Tests will take place Monday – Thursday.
We hope you all have a restful weekend and look forward to having breakfast with you on Monday 🙂
We will, we will rock you!
Crew Knowles made a fantastic effort to dress up as rockstars today! Here are just some of our super rockstars!
Bite back!
Some of the year 6 girls have shown a real passion and interest in marine conservation this week. They have been educating Crew Knowles all about why it is important to protect the oceans, they have been helping to change the public perception of sharks, and they are promoting others to have compassion for the environment. They have then created their own posters to display around school to help raise awareness. I am really impressed with the dedication and passion which the girls have shown so I just wanted to share their hard work. 🙂
100% Attendance!
Here are Crew Knowles’ 100% attendees for last term! Well done guys! Let’s see how many of us can attend for 100% of the time this term!
Picasso in the making? Maybe not!
One of our crew activities last week involved working in pairs and clear communication! One person had to give instructions on how to draw the image on the board whilst the other person had to follow the instructions and draw it.
The communication definitely got better and I was really impressed with how close some of the drawings were to the actual image. Lots of fun was definitely had by all!
