Thank you to our school counsellors Addison, Aurora and Mia for coming to read with some nursery children this afternoon. It was a lovely treat!
We had a wonderful time at our phonics drop in. We tried lots of activities and were excited to show our grown ups what we do in our phonics sessions.
A huge thank you to all of the grown ups who could attend. We hope it will be useful in supporting you to support your children with their phonics learning.

Thank you to the staff at Thorne Library for their hospitality today! The children were fully immersed through reading together, crafting and completing a treasure hunt!
This week, the children have been looking at the harvest celebration and what it means. Thank you to all the parents, carers and children who brought in fruits and vegetables for us to explore using our senses in Nursery. The children have also been using their maths knowledge of size and weight to describe and compare the foods.
A big shout out Rowan who proudly brought in a big box of home grown produce from his Nanny’s garden.
This week in phonics we have been learning a poem called ‘myself’ which is all about our body parts. The children loved jumping up to touch their own body parts when it came up in the poem. Great active learning Nursery crew!
Well done to these 2 for being our Reception HOWL point winners this week. Keep up those great attitudes, we are so proud of your hard work.
