Class 8 Presentation of learning

Thank you so much to all of the parents and grandparents who came to our presentation of learning today. I loved that you let the children lead their own learning and show you the skills that they have learnt.

They have loved showing you their chopping, cutting and grating skills this morning.

The children are very proud of their art work on their shrinky dinks too and have all received a postcard from an adult saying how great they were!

Thank you again, have a lovely Easter break x

Class 6 find out about bullying

This morning in crew time class 6 found out what bullying is…and also what it isn’t. We talked about the effects doing or saying unkind things has on others. We talked about the definition of bullying – deliberate behaviour that is done to hurt or upset someone over an ongoing period of time, and that it can be done by an individual or a group of people. We lalsoearned that there are different types of bullying….

Physical – hurting someone’s body or the things that belong to that person.

Verbal – saying mean and unkind things about another person.

Social – a form of indirect bullying where a person is excluded or left out and others are encouraged others to do the same

Cyber – sending unkind messages or spreading rumours about someone on the internet.

We also found out how to prevent being bullied and what to do if it happens to us.

Check out the video below for more information.

Class 6 POL

Just a reminder to join us if you can tomorrow afternoon for our presentation of learning. We can’t wait to share our new food preparation skills with you while making a tasty and healthy meal that we have planned ourselves and earning the Shrinky Dink charms that we created at the beginning of term. The fun starts at 2pm. We hope to see you all there!

Guess the name of our gorgeous dragon!

Our bunny was so popular that this time we have bought a super cute dragon! Help our Year 6 children raise money by guessing the name of the dragon for £1 ago! The dragon will be around classrooms on Thursday and Friday as well as after the Easter holidays!

Class 8: debate

Crew Shaw had a fantastic debate this morning. We were deciding whether the children thought that technology was good or bad for our bodies, minds and the world. They came up with their own arguments using their own opinions and decided which side they would be on…for or against!

I really enjoyed listening to their points of view and how respectful they were of others views!

Class 8: Attendance treat

Crew Shaw were very excited to spend their 100% attendance money at the attendance shop today! Keep it up guys, the more we get, the more we get to spend at the shop next term too!

Well done crew!

Class 5 POL

Thank you so much to everyone who attended our presentation of learning today. We have absolutely loved our expedition this term and making our skrinky dink products. It was so nice to see how excited the children were with their keyrings today and seeing them enjoying little picnics with their friends when they had made their food! It has been great to see the children being hands-on and using kitchen equipment to cut, peel and grate. I hope everyone had lots of fun!
