New Class 6 Superstars!

The children have had an amazingly busy and fun day exploring their classroom and getting used to all the new and exciting things in the KS1 corridor. We began the day with a story in crew about a caterpillar called Cody who wanted to stay as she was and not become a butterfly because she wasn’t ready. However, when she did eventually change she realised that being a butterfly was wonderful. We completed lots of phonics tasks, did a body mapping activity linked to our new feelings chart, made friendship stones to decorate the entrance to our school and finished the day by exploring our outdoor area. It seems to me that these cute little caterpillars are quite ready for their transformation into Year 1 butterflies!

See you all tomorrow

Miss Knowles’ new class!

We’ve had a lovely day today in Year 6 for transition. We’ve focused on the zones of regulation and thought about how our bodies feel when we are feeling certain emotions! We also enjoyed watching Inside Out which linked nicely to our work on emotions!

Mrs Shaw’s amazing new class

My new class have been absolutely fantastic today! They have blown me away with their manners, super attitude to school and gorgeous work.

We have discussed our emotions today, started to make kindness stones, coloured in some words about The British Values and played some team building games. I’m tired out but I hope they have enjoyed it as much as I have. See you all in the morning

Year 5 Celebrate our learning!!

Thank you to all who attended our Celebration of Learning today! It was wonderful to see children sharing their expert knowledge with their adults. We looked at some Egyptian artefacts, made hieroglyphic bookmarks, produced some beautiful sketches, experimented with dress-up and we even had a sneak preview of our Tik Tok videos…all washed down with a healthy mocktail!

Year 2 POL

We’ve had a lovely presentation of learning this morning showcasing our learning from this term. The children spoke confidently when sharing their learning and did some beautiful singing.

Thank you to all of our parents and carers that came this morning to support us. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

The year 2 team!

Thursday 11th – Stay and Read

Just a reminder that on Thursday 11th July you can stay and read with your child between 8.30am – 9am or 2.30pm – 3pm. This is during the second transition day so will also give you time to meet your child’s new class teacher.

KS2 Sports Day

Well done to all our KS2 students who took part in our sports day on Tuesday. The weather managed to hold off and it was great to see some competitive races. Well done to everyone involved.

Year 2 Presentation of learning 9.7.24

On Tuesday 9th July Year 2 children would like to invite their grown-ups to school to see their presentation of learning for our Expedition ‘Diverse Doncaster – Where do I belong?’. The hall will be open from 8:30am for grown-up to get a hot drink whilst the children are being registered in their classes. Children will then come to the hall to share their learning with you.

We will begin at 9 o clock and it will last for about 10 or 15 minutes

We hope you can make it!
