Awesome job guys!
Yesterday, in Crew Myers we had a visit from some fantastic polar bears! The children used their knowledge of the story so far and made inferences from the text to take part in a hot seat activity. Our polar bears were so brave and could make links between the story and our expedition learning! I was super impressed with how in character everyone was, the amount of respect everyone had for each other and the excellent use of vocabulary throughout the activity!
After the hot seat, we then responded to a question making links between the characters and their feelings in the story and what is happening in Svalbard. I am so proud of my super stars! Well done everyone!
This afternoon in Crew Jackson, we discussed the causes and effects of climate change. The children were really interested in finding out new information as well sharing what they already knew. It was really powerful to see how passionate some children are about helping our world survive!
Keep up the great work guys! Mrs Jackson
Well done guys! Mrs Jackson
Well done Lewis for a super attitude to learning today! You have worked collaboratively with your friends and have been a real ‘get smart’ role model to your friends. I am super proud of you today for you maths work and your problem solving ! Well done Lewis keep up the great work!
Hudson and Nasrin were the postcard winners in Nursery today. Thank you for being kind, working hard and getting smart! We also want to wish Logan a very happy birthday today. The children enjoyed sharing your chocolate cake and taking home a party bag 🎂🎉
This afternoon in geography we have been debating whether we should demolish the Amazon rainforest or not. I was very impressed with our research skills and retrieving key facts and information to share as to why the rainforest is so important to our planet. In addition to this, everyone stood up and presented their research and debated what should happen to our rainforests. Great work today Crew Ambler and well done!
We have had a fantastic day in Nursery. We started off our morning by further exploring the story of the Three Little Pigs. All children completed the challenge of drawing a picture of a house for the pigs independently. There were so many children trying really hard to hold their pen correctly and make meaningful marks on paper. Our beautiful work is now on display in Nursery ✍🏼😃
A huge shout out to our post card winners today⌠Ethan, Grace and Archie! Thank you for being lovely role models to your friends today.
Kole also brought in a castle he made at home – a perfect example of how to live out our expedition title âEarly Years Engineersâ ⭐️
A big shout out and well done to our learning legends Hattie, Evan and Macie. Also a big well done to Theo for being this weeks âout of this worldâ winner!
Today we have written the first draft of our non-chronological report on polar bears. Eva and Ellis won the postcards for their amazing effort in this work. Ellis tried very hard to remember his phonics learning for spellings and Eva used lots of green standard conjunctions. I canât wait to see your final drafts. Great job.
