The Easter Story

Today we had two lovely ladies named Linda visit to immerse us in Easter! We had a beautiful sensory story, had fun with a palm tree puppet and were so lucky to take home a story book and chocolate egg. Thank you to all parents who donated to this charitable cause enabling these lovely activities to happen in schools.

Postcard of the day!

Congratulations to Amity for marvellous maths work today! Amity was a true Stickability Stan really grappling with problem solving until she got the right answer. Super proud of you!

How dull would it be without diversity?

In Class 4 today we had a beautiful day thinking about the word Diversity. Here are some of the wonderful quotes from today!

The children made their words come to life as they drew their thoughts together.

“We all have different skin colour, hair, teeth.”

“Our bodies are all different shapes and sizes and that is ok.”

“Some children have a mummy and some have a daddy.”

“Some one might have a little brother and someone a sister. “

“Some people like things and some people like other things.”

“Diversity is everyone is different. It’s boring the same. “

The children noticed and praised what they could see and really appreciated difference. I am so proud of them! what a beautiful Crew!

KIXX!

This afternoon, Year 4 was lucky enough to have an extra KIXX session. It was great to see everyone from all three Crews taking part in all of the activities, remembering the skills they were taught earlier in the year from their sessions and also enjoying the lovely sunshine!

Y6 – Peer Critique

Crew Knowles worked hard to peer critique their writing touchdowns using the rubrics to support. They edited and improved their writing and added in lots of new features to enhance their writing. The speeches that they have written are about deforestation and have been written from the perspective of an endangered animal – some of them definitely make you think twice about protecting our planet!
