F2 and KS1 celebrations in assembly

Well done to our house point winners this week.  You have all worked really hard to impress the grownups at Green Top over the last week.

We are also really proud of our final gold reading award winners this year.  We hope you enjoy reading your new book prizes at home.

Some fantastic out of school achievements this week.  The Y1 footballers played amazingly well in their tournament this weekend winning medals and a trophy.  Well done to Theo for saving all the penalties and becoming man of the match.  It was lovely to hear about Ruby’s successes in swimming and the adventures she is having going open water swimming!

Enjoying our session with Doncaster Rovers

Class 10 had so much fun at their last session with Doncaster Rovers. Not only have the children enjoyed learning new skills and participating in many fun filled activities but they have also enjoyed reading and sharing books with the coaches. The children want to thank the Rovers for an amazing six weeks and we hope to see them again next year!

Food science

Weve had an excellent morning this morning with Mrs Godfrey. She told us all about her job as food scientist and how to make pasta in a  factory. We did an experiment and looked at the clothing we would need to wear in a food factory.

All the children were really engaged and asked some great questions. Thank you so much to Mrs Godfrey you were fantastic and we loved learning with you.

Sports week

Look at these superstars practising their tennis skills as part of sports week! I have many budding tennis players in my class and I can’t wait to hear all about what they’ve been up to on Monday! Have a fabulous weekend Class 10 and see you next week!

sports day

What a fantastic sports day we’ve had today and the rain held off which was amazing!

This afternoon the ice cream van visited key stage 1 as a special treat for all the children for their hard work this term.

Thank you to all the parents that came along today to support sports day we really value your continued support.

Rounders: year 4 vs Parents

Year 4 had a fantastic afternoon taking on parents and carers at rounders. There was some excellent teamwork, fielding and communication in this competitive encounter. Parents were narrow winners on this occasion and lifted the trophy.

Thank you to all of those involved! The children have loved it.

The Brilliant Club!

Some of the Year 5 pupils have taken part in a University Scholars programme this year. They enjoyed university style tutorials and had to write a 1000 word final assignment! Each child that participated showed true resilience and motivation to complete the course and achieve their absolute best.

Last night, they graduated from the programme and I was so proud of each and every one of them. Well done to you all – you should all be extremely proud of yourselves!
