WOW! Mr Taylor’s class are absolutely smashing this TTRockstars challenge! Look how many questions they have answered correctly in just 1 day!! Come on Crew Knowles, keep working hard to catch up!
The battle doesn’t end until Friday!
Here’s Crew Knowles working hard on their times tables!
Class 10 have had a fabulous afternoon practising their tag rugby skills. We made the most of the winter sunshine and practiced our sideways passing, in small groups and then in two large groups with 3 rugby balls at once! we then has time for a game of tag rugby which we all enjoyed very much.
Great effort from everyone this afternoon, I love doing PE with you all! Keep up the great work.
Last week, we ‘planted’ some beans to investigate which conditions are best for plant growth. We are excited to see if any have sprouted over the weekend! Over the next couple of weeks, we are building on our KS1 knowledge of plants and are looking forward to learning lots of new things!
We are very excited to announce that we are launching Times Table Rockstars for our classes! Your child will be coming home this evening with login details for an exciting game to help them with their times tables. Your child’s class teacher will have set tables to practise in the garage section of the game. The more they play in this section the faster they will progress through the tables they need to learn. We will be checking the ‘heat map’ each week to see your child’s progress and move them to the next table once they have learned the one they have been set. You can set your own tables in the jamming section but try to stick to ones the children are currently learning…2s, 5s and 10s for year 1 and 2s, 5s, 10s and 3s for year 2. I have attached a video here and a letter here which will give you more information about the game and it’s different levels.
Any questions please see your child’s class teacher.
Today in Science we looked at our bodies and what they are made of. We got to draw our outlines before labelling them and describing how different parts of the body link to our senses!
As a teacher, it’s always exciting to see students take ownership of their learning and put in extra effort outside of the classroom. Lola and Jack are two such students who have recently impressed me with their dedication to completing their extended study.
Lola and Jack’s dedication to completing extended study serves as a great example to other students. Completing extended study is a crucial part of the learning process. It helps to solidify the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom. Lola and Jack have set a great example for their peers by showing that with dedication and hard work, completing extended study can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience. Well done!
