Some of the children in Class 6 have been super excited about their football teams recently and have been excited to bring in their trophies and medals to show the class. Well done to Jude, Phoenix and Eden who have recently won trophies for their super efforts in their matches!
Y1: Phonics Screening Check
This week the children in Year 1 are taking part in the National Phonics Screening Check. The children have been well prepared for this through our Phonics and Shared Reading sessions throughout Reception and Year 1.
In the check this children will be asked to use their phonics to read some real and some pseudo (nonsense) words.
If you would like more information about this, please follow the link below to find out more and as always please contact you child’s class teacher if you have any questions or concerns.
Class 6 Spellings
Wow the children’s confidence and enjoyment of their spellings over the past few weeks has blown me away! In phonics we have been practising writing words from the red word list. This week we are learning spellings that will help us with our writing about our journey in school so far. The spellings below are for Class 6 and we will check these spellings in class next week.
Reception – Crew Carter Postcard winners!
Y6: Children receive their leavers hoodies!
Well, this morning was such a lovely crew session with children receiving their leaver hoodies; they have been waiting eagerly for them for some time! Children are welcome and encouraged to wear their hoodies with pride for their final half term in school. I must say, they look absolutely fantastic in them! A special thanks to the Y6 staff, parents, Friends of Green Top and Adele at TOGs for their efforts in making this possible.
Y6- Key dates and leavers hoodies
I am delighted to share key dates with you as we go into the final half term for our current Y6 children. More details will be communicated for our leavers trip and party shortly. As always, please contact me at [email protected] or speak to your child’s crew leader with any questions you may have. In the meantime, thank you for your continued support as we try and make their end of primary schooling as memorable as possible.
Kind regards
Mr Mumby

EYFS Expert visitors from the Trolleybus Museum
Today the children in EYFS were super excited to experience time in an old big red bus. The children had lots of questions and enjoyed a turn at the drivers wheel! The children had lots of fun singing songs and waving the bus out of the school gates! Thank you to the trolleybus museum for allowing us to be the first school visit for them and for bringing our expedition alive today.
