What a great time it has been getting to work with our new Year 2s. We have worked on our understanding of emotions, how our body can feel in that situation and watched parts of Inside Out to understand emotions further.
We then created our own emotion monsters! It has been so much fun getting to know you all and I can’t wait to be your teacher next year! 🙂
We had so much fun getting to know one another in Crew Walton today! Our action packed day ended with some Crew Building activities which were challenging and exciting! Bring on tomorrow!
Thank you to all who attended our Celebration of Learning today! It was wonderful to see children sharing their expert knowledge with their adults. We looked at some Egyptian artefacts, made hieroglyphic bookmarks, produced some beautiful sketches, experimented with dress-up and we even had a sneak preview of our Tik Tok videos…all washed down with a healthy mocktail!
On Wednesday 17th July Nursery will be having a party in the morning and afternoon so that all children from all sessions can celebrate their wonderful year in Nursery with their teachers. We kindly ask if you could sign up to bringing in some food for the party. A party food list will be on display at the Nursery entrance – please ask a member of staff to sign up for your contribution.
Many thanks in advance for your support.

The children went on a puddle hunt around school and enjoyed what children love doing best – jumping in puddles! They listened carefully to the sound the water made and the movement of the water when they did big and small jumps.
Yesterday, Class 10 learned about the different states of matter and the properties that make them up: solids, liquids and gases!
Today, we looked at whether a solid could turn into a liquid and this involved chocolate buttons. We predicted that the chocolate would melt, meaning it would change from a solid to a liquid, so we held the chocolate in the palm of our hands.
Then we observed what had happened…
We were correct, so as a treat, we finished off the melted chocolate!
Misty, Niamh and Autumn-Belle asked to do some number sentences. We used the subitising number blocks to help us count the amounts. Well done girls! You worked so hard and created beautiful work.
