Celebrating Diwali

This week we have been learning about Diwali and how it is celebrated.
We have been enjoying having crew discussions and creating Rangoli patterns.

I wonder if you can tell someone in your family something you have learnt about Diwali in Nursery this week?

Home learning challenge

This week we are looking at the events in our class story ‘The Tiny Seed’ by Eric Carle but the grown ups would like to know what is YOUR favourite story?

Can you draw a picture of what happens in the beginning, middle and end of your favourite story and send it to [email protected] or simply show us your picture on the nursery door for a photo. A tag for our reward tree will be waiting for you if you can…

Odd socks day

Today we celebrated the start of Anti-bullying week by wearing Odd Socks to promote individuality and how it’s okay to be different!
You are all so special to us and we wouldn’t want anyone of you to change. Always be yourself, be proud and sprinkle kindness like it’s confetti.

This week’s home challenge

As the weather is changing and there is now a nip in the air we would like you to learn how to put your own coat on and zip it up. We know this can be tricky so we would be so impressed if you can do this yourself! Simply show us in nursery that you can do this and we’ll get you a tag for our reward tree!

CREW home learning challenge

Today in CREW we have been talking about how we can stay safe, what we need to do if we are in trouble and need to call 999 for the emergency services.

To ensure our children are as safe as possible in the event of an emergency, we are asking them to learn their home address.

Crew Shout Outs!

What a gorgeous CREW session we had before home time today. We shouted out kind things to our friends that had made us happy or proud today. The children spoke beautifully to each other. It was a truly lovely end to a super day. I was thrilled that Eli even gave me a shout out for ‘working hard’. Thank you Eli! 🌟

My shout out was to Penny for trying her best all the time, being kind to her friends in nursery and helping tidy up.

Miss Carter shouted out to Matilda for winning the pumpkin competition.

Well done to all the nursery children. You make me proud every day.
