World Book Day / Sponsored Read

We will be celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 6th March which will be a dress up day. The children are welcome to come to school dressed as their favourite book character!

During the same week, we will also be hosting a sponsored read event where we are encouraging children to raise money for reading! All of the money raised will be spent on books for our school and for our children to enjoy!

More information on the sponsored read event will follow during the first week of the new half term.

Class 12: working on conjunctions

The children had a bit of active learning for their conjunction work this week, going around the room looking at words and trying to work out how to sort them. Working out, that they were coordinating (FANBOYS) and subordinating (I SAW A WABUB) conjunctions. They then used this knowledge and our class discussions to come up with some really lovely stand alone sentences within their SPAG lesson.
