Class 8 have been fantastic today, measuring different objects in the classroom using rulers and tape measures. There was a focus on measuring accurately but then they were extended to order them from shortest to tallest and vice versa! Great maths today guys…well done!
Our Year 6 children have been nominated by Plover to take part in the ice bucket challenge to raise money for MIND UK.
We will be completing the ice bucket challenge on Tuesday 20th May during the afternoon. Your child/ren will need their PE kit to change into to be able to take part! We would also suggest a carrier bag to put any wet clothes in.
What does it really mean to be part of XP? Don’t take it from us – hear it from the students themselves.
If you’re a teacher who believes in creativity, challenge and doing work that matters, this is the role for you. We’re open to applications across a range of subjects – find out more here
If you have any cardboard tubes or plastic bottles that we could use to make rockets, they would be greatly appreciated. Please hand them to your class teacher this week. Thanks in advance!
Good luck to our wonderful Year 6s who have worked so incredibly hard in the run up to SATs. We know that you will do your absolute best and we are already so proud of you!
An enormous well done to Ellie-Mai, Samantha, Marnie, Natalia and Gabby who recently raised £41 for Cancer Research UK by selling handmade bracelets. I am so proud of your kindness!
At the VE Memorial Service this morning we were honoured to meet one of Green Top’s very first pupils! Mrs Martin told us that she attended Green Top when it opened in 1939, at the beginning of the war and that she remembers VE Day very well. The children were really interested in her stories and have invited her to visit to see the changes in our school.
We are looking forward to showing you around Mrs Martin!
