Class 11 loved being able to use the atlases to be able to help their learning. They were able to use the atlas to help locate some of the tallest mountains on the different continents.
Class 11 have been working on creating posters to show off their knowledge of the earth and its layers. Moe specifically, they have researched the different types of soils that make up the Earth. We looked into bedrock, parent material, subsoil, topsoil and the final organic layer. The layers were researched through the use of iPads which ensured we could get the really strong knowledge!
Dear Parent/Guardian
Doncaster Rovers Belles will host a late season home game at the Eco-Power Stadium – and we are looking to pack the stands with the next generation of supporters of the women’s game.
The clash with Northampton Town on Sunday, April 30 has been switched to the Eco-Power Stadium with a 2pm kick-off and we are offering all school children across the city the opportunity to watch the game free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult.

Class 10 have worked so hard researching the different layers of soil and making posters about their findings. We used ipads and our knowledge to write down facts about each layer and we illustrated what this would look like. Great group work everyone!

WOW! What a morning! It has been truly fantastic. We loved seeing you all get stuck in and crafty to make some amazing transport models. Thank you to all parents and carers who came to join us. What a special way to kick start our Summer term expedition ’Would you travel by wheels, wings or other things?’
Well done to Emilea who won the draw for the high attenders last term. Children with more than 97% attendance went into a draw and Emilea was one of the lucky winners to take home an Easter egg!
Well done to Jersey who has produced a brilliant diagram of the Earth’s layers based on our learning earlier in the week!
As part of our hook week, we have been immersing the classroom by creating tornado art work. We used cotton wool to create the tornado and pieces of card to show the destruction it has caused!
We have been looking at the different layers of soil that we can find below us. For each different layer, we have been researching what it is made up of and some of the different things we might find in each layer such and plant roots, rocks and even living creatures!
