Class 6: Beautiful Writing

In addition to our amazing phonics this week the children have been making their own story books! Take a look at this beautiful story writing!

Well done Thomas, Jude, Grace, Ezra, Remy, Kitty, Arnie, Spencer and Ruby whose work has been chosen to be featured in this blog post because not only were they super story tellers but they worked super hard on the presentation of their writing too!

All children will be binging their stories home soon for you to read too!

Keep up the great work Class 6! I am so proud of you all and I am seeing lots of progress from everyone this half term.

Class 11 flood research! 🌊

As we ended the week, Class 11 have been researching what can cause a flood. We have also looked into how humans can cause flooding, the physical impact to the earth that this can have and then how we can prevent them in the future. I can’t praise Class 11 enough for how well they collaborated with each other. It was another lovely lesson that we have had this week!

Class 6: Pretty Muddy!

Look at these two superstars! Willow and Thomas took part in Pretty Muddy last week and raised hundreds of pounds for charity! We are so proud of them both and the children loved hearing all about it and watching their photos and videos.

Well done superstars!

Class 6: Football Stars

Some of the children in Class 6 have been super excited about their football teams recently and have been excited to bring in their trophies and medals to show the class. Well done to Jude, Phoenix and Eden who have recently won trophies for their super efforts in their matches!

And thats a wrap on the phonics check Y1

The children have absolutely blown us away with the hard work and dedication they have put into their phonics learning this year and this weeks phonics check proved that the hard work really has payed off. Miss Schon, Miss Cooper, Mrs Clay and I are over the moon with the effort you have all put in and we hope you all enjoyed your ice lolly treat in the sunshine!

Beautiful Work This Week

Ready, Steady, Grow!

In the spring of 2023, the KS1 pupils from primary schools across the XP Trust undertook a cross-curricular learning Expedition called ‘Ready Steady Grow’, where they looked to answer the guiding question…

‘How can I be the healthiest version of me?’

The Expedition culminated in this beautiful collaborative book – filled with recipes, healthy eating advice and the story behind the students’ learning!

‘What will I do to be a champion in my community?’ Pledges at Norton Infants!
