Thursday Lunch
Family Bingo Night
We are really looking forward to welcoming you to Family Bingo Night on Thursday and have lots of tasty treats waiting to be won. There are a small number of tickets available if you haven’t managed to get one yet and would still like to come along and join in the fun.
Doors open 5:30pm Eyes down 6pm
We will be playing 6 games and bingo strips will be on sale for £1 so get your bingo dabbers ready! Will you be brave enough to play a full strip or even more than one? If you have young children attending then you may decide to split a strip into individual cards so they can enjoy playing too.
Refreshments will be on sale before and in between games. We will also be holding a raffle for 50p a ticket and have a range of great prizes to be won. It would be much appreciated if you could bring change on the night to make it easier when purchasing bingo strips, raffle tickets and refreshments.
Check out the tasty treats we have as bingo prizes for both a line and a full house. I’ve already picked out my favourite!

Class 12 – Battleships!
Class 12 have also been looking at coordinates in maths this week. To practise using coordinates to find a location, we played Battleships which the children thought was great fun!

Y3/4 Family Learning
Don’t forget our Y3/4 family learning event will take place on Wednesday 17th May at 9.15am. Please come along to join in our activities which link to our expedition: Earth Shattering Events!
We look forward to seeing you there!
Thank you, Year 3/4
Class 7 King Charles pen portraits
We ended our first case study today by assembling our King Charles fact files in the form of pen portraits. We had worked in groups to do internet research and take bullet pointed notes and then used our SPAG learning to add conjunctions to make sentences. After that we critiqued, edited and improved our writing and used a ’jigsaw’ protocol…where one member of each group split into a new group to share our learning… to produce these truly amazing tributes to the journey of our new King.
Bear in mind the children who produced this outstanding work are 5 and 6 year olds! Just imagine the journey they are embarking on if this is what they can produce in year one!
I am beyond proud of you all xx
Class 13 – Battleships! 🚢
In maths today, we have been learning all about coordinates and how we can use them to pinpoint exact locations. To practise this and get a better understanding of them, we had a classic game of Battleships, where children battled against each other to find the location of of one another’s ships on the grid!

Y6 – SATS Treat
Myself, Mr Mumby and Mrs Jackson would like to give Y6 a huge shout out this week for their hard work throughout SATS. You have all worked really hard and have done your best and we are very proud of everyone! You all deserved your treat this afternoon! Enjoy your weekend 😊
