Year 1 celebration of learning

Mrs Rodgers and Miss Schon would like to invite parents in on Wednesday 5th July at 2:15pm for a coffee and a chat. If you are able to come in, we will invite your children to come and share their passage presentations with you, which is a great piece of work that will explain all about their learning this year. We hope you can make it x x

Year 5 Presentation of Learning

Join us on Tuesday 4th July at 2pm to celebrate our current expedition – How has the mining industry shaped out community?

Arrive at the hall doors at 2pm to have a look at the children’s books. They will then present their learning of the three case studies before revealing our final product.

We look forward to seeing you then. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

EYFS Celebration of Learning

We had a wonderful afternoon yesterday at our EYFS Celebration of Learning. There was so much to see and do and we were so lucky to have bouncy castles and an old fire engine.

We would like to thank all of our grown ups that came to play with our children and support us in our celebration.

Another huge thanks to the food vans that came also, they were enjoyed by many.

Finally, a huge thanks to our children for working so hard in our expedition.

We hope you enjoyed it.

Public Services Day

Last week, to celebrate Public Service Day, the school council wrote postcards to share with people in our community.

It was great to receive this photograph of one of our postcards with these firearms instructors.

Year 2 final word prep

Year 2 have been busy this week writing their final word presentations and reflecting on their time in key stage 1, before they move to key stage 2 in a few weeks. It has been lovely listening to their experiences and recalling their learning from their time in year 1 and 2.

Once they have written their final words, they have been typing them up onto a slide presentation on the ipads, which they have enjoyed doing. It’s great to see them using the technology and getting them ready for year 3 in terms of basic computing skills.

Can’t wait to see all of the children present them next week!

Outside of school activities

A huge well done to Ayla for getting a medal in her first ever dancing competitions. Her beautiful smile showed me how much she loved doing them. Well done sweetheart!

Also, Ezra and Ellis cam in with football medals from Goals this week. I heard they had loads of fun at Ezra’s birthday party. Thanks for sharing with us boys!
