Making a bug hotel in XP Outdoors

Class 7 have ha d a fantastic afternoon making a bug hotel outside for XP Outdoors. Mr Kershaw prasied the children for their great listening and teamwork skills to make the bug hotel as full as possible for the insects that might use it.

The children were very excited that some bugs had already started moving in!

Well done class 7 it looks great!

Guess my emotion in class 6

In Crew this morning we talked about emotions and how we can experience lots of different ones in a day. We talked about how our actions can affect others emotions and then played guess my emotion.

Class 10s Tuesday! 📏✍️

Yesterday, Class 10 were practising their measuring skills and began to explore using rulers with different items around the class. This was to get used to the vocabulary and understand measurements fully.

We then finished our day off by finding the key features of a setting description ready to take some ideas for independent pieces of writing.

Crack the Code Winner!

A huge well done to Harrison who cracked the code this morning and won lots of exciting prizes as well as a new book of his choice!

Learning Council will be back with Crack the Code and some new exciting prizes tomorrow!

EYFS Book & a Biscuit/ TOY SALE Wednesday 7th February

On Wednesday 7th February it is World Read Aloud Day. We would like to invite you to join us for a book and a biscuit. This is a lovely event for you to share stories and quality time with your child in the school setting.

We will also be holding a used toy and book sale at the same time to raise funds for our expedition learning and EYFS resources. All toys and books will be very reasonably priced so please bring some money with you. The sale will also be available before and after school.

NURSERY – 8.30 am – 9.30 am in the Nursery classroom

RECEPTION – 2.15 am – 3pm
