We absolutely loved our session with our expert visitor today, who brought our learning from the great fire of London to life. The children could recall lots of information and learnt lots of new facts. Thank you so much to the parents too that supported this session taking place by paying for it on parentpay. It really eas a great day!
This week in RE, we looked at building background information on the different forms of the Hindu god. We learned about Ganesha, Lakshmi and Vishnu to name just a few. We also managed to get in some active learning by moving around the classroom to collect the information!
Yesterday in our reading lesson, we investigated the meaning of some of the tricky vocabulary in this weeks text. We had a little bit of word bingo to spot some of the words and then practiced reading around the word to see if we could predict what the words meant. It was lovely to see lots of great collaboration around the classroom when the children independently answered their vocabulary questions! Well done everyone!
This week, we have developed our knowledge of Hindu Gods by taking part in some active research. The children independently researched the Gods using the fact files around the room and collated information about 4 of their chosen Gods.

Class 7 continued their RE learning with more Hindu stories. This week it was 4 friends where we learned that we can all use our talents to help others and be kind!
What a great way to remember our spelling sounds with “boom, clap and splat”. We absolutely loved our active spelling session 🙂
The children were working really well together to spot the mistakes in the punctuation task. They were finding capital letters and full stops, as well as correcting any errors. Great job guys!
