Choose a random object from your house and count out 100! Will you choose to count 100 pasta pieces, 100 pieces of cereal of even 100 socks!? Be as creative as you want to be and let’s see what 100 looks like!
If you can, put your 100 items in a bag and fetch them to show your teachers! Remember you can always send photographs to your teachers or to [email protected]

We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
This afternoon some Nursery & Reception children had their photo taken for Thorne Times to celebrate our learning for our Autumn term expedition ’How do we care for bears?’ and our great achievement of being able to buy 270 bears for Changing Lives charity with the money from our fundraising efforts. Keep your eyes peeled for the article coming soon…
Choose one (or more!) of the challenges below to complete at home this week! Don’t forget to get the whole family involved! If your child is in EYFS, please choose some of the activities from the ‘Year 1 and 2’ document 🙂
Remember to send any pictures to [email protected] or to your teachers. We can’t wait to see all of the maths around your home!
Today in Nursery we have had so much fun learning and exploring.
We have learnt all about keeping our teeth healthy, practised writing our letters, counting and learning some new maths songs.
Keep up the hard work Nursery, I can’t wait to see what else we get up to this week.
Work together to see how many maths words you can think of for each letter of the alphabet! I’ll let you into a secret … J is a very tricky letter so I’ll be super impressed if anyone thinks of a maths word starting with J!
Please send your responses to [email protected] and / or bring them in to show your teachers!
We can’t wait to see how many words you come up with and who has the most creative words!

This week we are learning the letter sounds ’t’ and ’p’.
We wonder if you can find objects which begin with these sounds and have a go at writing them.
We’d love to see your home learning achievements so please email any photos or work to [email protected]
Here are some superstars today who enjoyed writing the letter ’t’ in their play…
