This morning has been wonderful in Nursery with Mr Kershaw. He set up a super camp site for us to enjoy and supported us in being safe around a camp fire to toast our marshmallows.
The children listened beautifully and were very safe. Mrs Burton and I are very proud of you.
Nursery are super lucky this term to have Mr Kershaw come and join us for XP Outdoors. Over the past 2 weeks we have explored water play seeing how fast or slow flowing water can effect the speed of a boats movement. We also enjoyed crew activities with the parachute. Thank you Mr Kershaw! We can’t wait for you to visit on Wednesday for another exciting session.

Nursery have had so much fun this afternoon exploring what happens at a car wash. The children have loved dressing up in overalls and using soapy water to wash their cars and bikes in the sunshine.
This week we are learning the letter sound ’X’ and ’Y’.

Today in Nursery we welcomed Axl, Mason and Isaac into our Nursery crew and what a wonderful addition they are to our team. We had so much fun together exploring pirate ships, stories, role play on our bus, mini car wash in the sun, rolling hoops and observing how fast they can roll down a hill, lots of physical play on bikes and scooters and finally learning our new letter sound ‘x’ and practising writing the grapheme. Wow! A wonderfully busy day. I wonder what tomorrow will bring…
This week is National Skipping week and as a school we will be taking part to see how many jumps we can do. Each day, the children will get the opportunity to take part and count how many jumps they can do and we will create a school total each day. Watch this video to find out more.
School council will be getting involved to see who can skip or jump in the most unusual places. All you need to do to get involved is take a picture or video of you jumping or skipping somewhere unusual and send it into school. The deadline for entries is Tuesday 2nd May. Winners will be announced on Friday 5th May.

We have had a lovely morning so far in Nursery outside in the sun exploring lots of different activities. Hopefully, the sun will stay. I can’t wait to see what else we get up to today.
WOW! What a morning! It has been truly fantastic. We loved seeing you all get stuck in and crafty to make some amazing transport models. Thank you to all parents and carers who came to join us. What a special way to kick start our Summer term expedition ’Would you travel by wheels, wings or other things?’
