F2 Family Learning

You are invited to join us for Family Learning at 1:30pm tomorrow (Tuesday 22nd February). We will be doing a ‘scrapheap’ style challenge. We will be modelling buildings and features from our local area. Please bring any junk materials you have at home to help us with our challenge e.g. items from your recycling, boxes, material, astroturf cut-offs, pieces of wood etc. We will be seeing what we can create using all the things we collect. We hope that you can join us for an afternoon of fun!

Magical Music Session!

Tommorow we will be having an exciting visit from musician Geoff Hewitt. He will be talking to the children about how music is made, playing his guitar and then demonstrating how we can make our own guitars, drums or shakers.

If you have any old containers, packaging, boxes, oats, rice, lentils or anything you would like to use in the session please bring this to school with you in the morning!

I look forward to seeing you all as we hook back into our second half term of ‘being a maker’!

‘In world of possibilities what would you make?’

See you in the morning!

Working Hard!

Aria worked so hard with everything she did today and her independence and effort made me really proud!
Well done Aria keep up the beautiful work!

We loved our visit to Thorne Pentecostal Church!

We are all so proud of the reception children that visited Thorne Pentecostal Church today, their behaviour was amazing from walking all the way from school to their brilliant listening to Pastor Kevin. All the children and staff had a fantastic time at the church joining in with songs, stories and using the amazing play spaces. The children and all the staff would like to thank Pastor Kevin for accommodating us all today and making the day so lovely.

Making pairs and adding more!

What wonderful work from Reid this week! Making pairs and making more, Reid was a true Stickability Stan in his learning this week as he solved lots of problems in his play. I wonder what Reid did when he had one left over?
