Huge shout out for Crew Shaw

Crew Shaw have all done fantastic in their assessments this week. They all had a fabulous attitude to how they approached them and I am so proud of the progress they have made this year and the fantastic children they are growing into. Couldn’t be prouder of my crew.

An extra special shout out to these 5 too for their HOWLS this week (and always)

PE fun!

This morning in PE we worked really hard on developing our spatial awareness through the playing of a range of games. We also had to work well on our communication skills and collaboration. We had such fun and we were need of a rest after an hour of exercise!

Super spellers

This morning Class 9 worked really hard to unscramble the common exception words. Keep up the hard work and remember your spellings when doing your writing!

Shout out for crew Shaw

Look at these beautiful smiles of pride. They received a well deserved shout out in our virtual phase assembly this week and I am extremely proud of their ‘work hard’ attitude this week.

Keep it up superstars

Can cook, will cook!

This week we have made food from Jamaica 🇯🇲 and Sri Lanka 🇱🇰 as part of our expedition learning. The children enjoyed getting involved and all tasted the Jamaican banana muffins and fried rice that they made.

Great learning crew!

Class 9 are proud of themselves

Please take 1 minutes to watch the video that class 9 have made to show you how proud they are of themselves.

During crew this week we have been thinking of what we are proud of and our own achievements and I would like to say how proud of them all I am. What beautiful children we have at Green Top 💚

Jam sandwich fun!

Well done Class 9 you were awesome at figuring out the instructions independently, identifying the features of instructions and picking out the imperative verbs. All this was finished off by getting to eat our delicious jam sandwiches!

Tag rugby fun

This morning we have had great fun learning some tag rugby skills with our visiting rugby teacher and rugby player. We then followed this up with a question and answer session where the children asked so many interesting questions.

Phase assembly shout outs

Massive shout outs for my crew winners this week! I am so proud of Thomas’s reading progress, Lucas’s phonics in his writing and Naomi’s kindness in supporting her crew members learning as well as her own. A very well deserved certificate for Lilly too for being our overall HOWL point winner- well done guys…proud as always 💚
