This afternoon, Year 2 enjoyed a brief visit to nearby St Nicholas Church to view their artwork which was displayed as part of the recent jubilee celebrations. The children were able to learn more about the history of the church and how it has changed over the years.

Class 8- collecting data
Today class 8 worked hard in groups to collect data for a certain subject…such as favourite colour, favourite food, eye colour and month of birth.
I loved how excited they were to take control of their own learning to produce some independent bar charts that we can discuss.
Great work this afternoon guys! X x
Class 8 enjoying kixx
The children really enjoyed their session with coach Kyle today. They are already looking forward to next week where they’re going to be using the dribbling skills that they learnt today in a match.
Great work year 2 x

The raffle will be drawn on Friday 17th June. Good luck!
KS1 Phase Assesmbly
Lots more to celebrate this week in key stage 1! Year 1 had lots of amazing reading certificates given out, year 2 have been getting some awesome shoutouts for their hard work in SATS this week. The children were shining!
Lots of shoutouts for those of use that have been awarded the Be Kind, Get Smart and Work Hard HOWL certificates too. It is so great to see so many young people striving for these awards, although it makes it hard for us to choose sometimes! What a great dilemma to have. What could YOU do to be our winners next week?

KS1 – Eat your heart out Hollywood!
How wonderful it was to be able to welcome our parents and carers back for the celebration of our Autumn learning expedition – What will I do to be a superhero in my community?
We gathered at the XP East site for a star-spangled red carpet event where our children truly were the stars of the show in a first screening of their final product video which showcased their learning in true Hollywood style.
Thank you so much to everyone who braved the traffic and came dressed in their best to help us recognise and honour the children’s hard work and achievements in such an awesome fashion.
We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.
KS1 celebration of learning

Thank you so much to our parents that managed to make our film screening tonight to celebrate the children’s Autumn expedition.
We hope you were proud of the learning that they did and equally I hope that the children enjoyed this event!
For anyone that couldn’t make it tonight, please don’t worry as there will be an opportunity for you to watch it too!
Thanks again, Mrs Shaw and the ks1 team x x
