Thank you so much to the year 5 children for coming to our year 2 crew and helping the children to ALL make a maths poster to put into the number competition that is running this week! We have had some great entries and the older children were extremely supportive and caring with my class.
Amazing work from everyone!
On Tuesday 11th February, to mark Safer Internet Day, we will be hosting an e-Safety ‘drop in session’ for children and parents. The session will run from 14:00 – 15:00 and will involve some orienteering fun around the school grounds, with a link to e-Safety and staying safe online.
Please book your place to attend the session with your children via the link below.
Parents and carers will be able to meet and collect children from the school hall. We look forward to seeing everyone!

We had a fabulous afternoon doing orienteering in the playground. Thank you to all of our parents and carers who came in good spirits and joined in with us! What a great afternoon!
Thank you to everyone who took part in the first activity of the week; we have had some fantastically creative work handed in! Are you ready for challenge two?
Maths is around us and we are constantly using language linked to maths in our everyday life. Can you create a poster that celebrates math vocabulary?
Your task is to create an A to Z poster! I wonder how creative you can make it….can you add images for each word? Which colours will you use?
Here is an example below although I know our children can do much better!

Well done to Adam who shared this amazing work for activity 1!

This week the children have been learning /oa/ goat in a boat. Miss Cooper has been really impressed with he children’s writing this week!

This week we have been learning the /ou/ sound. The children have been really impressing me with their knowledge of red words and also their confidence when reading our shared reading books. I can tell that many of the children have been practising at home! This week we have also focussed on writing words and sentences. Keep it up everyone, I am very proud of your efforts!

This week in Miss Rodgers and Mrs Clays groups the children are consolidating their learning. The children have been taking their latest assessment and we have been blown away with the improvement in children’s reading fluency. Thanks for all your help with this at home. We hope you have enjoyed reading with your children and seeing their progress!

I was really impressed today by the children recalling their knowledge on the life cycle of a plant and then learning about the functions of the structure of a plant. They did some superb labelled diagrams and then wrote about the different jobs that parts of a plant have to do!
Great work class 8!
