Fabulous Hook Week

Class 6 had an amazing week to hook us into our new ‘Would you like to live in a place like this?’ expedition. We went on walks around Thorne to look at the different types of houses, the canal and some of the historical buildings. We made collages of some of the well known shop signs that we saw, made portraits of our families using buttons to decorate our home corner reading area and even linked our maths learning by making houses with tens sticks for walls and ones blocks for windows.

We can’t wait to learn more about the wonderful place we live in!

As always, we would like to thank you all for your support in joining us for our outings. Your help is very much appreciated.

My evening with Elliott.

Good evening everyone.

Here I am with my little chum Elliott enjoying my book of the month at bedtime last night. Don’t forget to record any of your own books that you read at home in your Reading Diary.

Did you know that reading at bedtime can help you to relax so you get a better night’s sleep?

See you soon

Juicy xx

Hi everyone.

Juicy and Jemima here.

Starting tomorrow, Friday the 10th of January, classes 5 and 6 are beginning an exciting new reading challenge competition!

Every time your child brings their reading pack into school to be changed they will receive a raffle ticket. Once every 4 weeks a lucky winner from each class will win a SUPER READER HAMPER full of prizes. The more your child reads at home, the more chances they will have of winning the monthly prize!

So come on! Get out those reading packs and get reading!!!

KS1 Christmas Performance

What a great time we all had performing for our families and carers on Monday and Tuesday! We’re sure you will agree we all learned our lines and our songs wonderfully and we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!

Here are Class 6 in our fabulous costumes.

Thank you all so much for your continued support.
