Today the children had lots of fun learning the skill of underarm throwing. The children demonstrated great turn taking and partner work. Listening to each other and following instructions. What a great first day back!

A happy New Year and a huge welcome to the Spring Term – Your child’s second term in the Reception year!
We have lots of exciting things coming up this term and the children are already busy continuing their learning.
We have added the Spring term study menu to the children tab: Extended Study: EYFS Extended Study for you to view and if your child would like to continue their learning at home please send in photos or beautiful work for us to celebrate in our community crew meetings.
Have fun!
Thank You
Miss Carter and the EYFS Team x
Today in reception the children had fun writing the letters j, v, w and f. They worked so hard to form the letters correctly. Well done reception we have some beautiful writers with a confident pincer grip!
A big thanks to the Friends of Green Top who raised enough money for us to have a little festive treat this afternoon of the Snow White panto coming in to school.
The children all absolutely loved it and enjoyed engaging with all of the classic pantomime fun!
We are very proud to share with you our EYFS product which shows how our EYFS children care.
We hope you enjoy our very special video.
A huge thank you to all those who attended our EYFS presentation of learning today and for your support in helping us raise a whopping £1115 to help build the new parent’s room at DRI children’s ward. We hope you enjoyed the event it as much as we did and feel equally as proud of our wonderful children. ❤️
As part of our expedition learning we were invited into DRI to see Katie the Matron and the wonderful work and environment the staff there provide for their patients. Vincent and Elodie represented the school and I am so proud of them for their excellent behaviour and awesome thoughts and suggestions on how to improve the children’s ward. Elodie thought more princesses and phonics sounds were needed and Vincent wanted to see more superhero’s and dinosaurs. Great suggestions guys!
We are looking forward to being able to donate the money raised this term to the children’s ward in developing their much needed parents room.
A huge thank you to everyone who dressed their child up for our ‘kindness is our superpower’ day. The children did us proud and braved the rain to complete their sponsored walk challenge.
Sponsor money is due Friday 25th October to your child’s class teacher. Many thanks for you support.
