Year 2 have made a great start to the week today!! They listened to our new story ‘Owl Babies’ carefully and have answered questions about the text, in maths they have been telling the time and in expedition they have been listening to different sounds and have also been composing their own music to represent one of our 4 animals!

I can see that everyone has tried so hard today!!

Our learning legends in Year 2 today are: 

Callum for being an Exploring Eddie in Expedition today. Callum shared videos of him listening to the different types of music and explained how he thought they were moving and feeling. You made us all smile Callum, so thank you!! 🙂 

and 

Khaya for being a Connecting Connie and making some wonderful expedition crafts over the weekend using lots of boxes from the recycling- such a clever idea!!! Khaya made a bumble bee, a caterpillar and also a cute little hedgehog with spikes! 

Well done guys, keep up the hard work!!!

Weve been busy bees today in cocoon F today making bees for our beehive! We love seeing it outside in the quad like a real beehive. I hope you like it as much as we do. Thank you for working hard everyone.

Year 2 you have made me smile all day with the wonderful work that I’ve seen. I can not tell you how proud I am of the fantastic ideas and the enthusiasm you have shown for making animals in so many different ways! You are all wonderful!

We’ve had a lovely afternoon in our cocoon today making hedgehogs from clay and dry spaghetti. We’ve loved seeing how different they all look and how sensible everyone was at making them.

Year 2 you are AMAZING! I’ve seen such beautiful work from you all today and feel very proud of what you’ve achieved!

Some great hedgehog craft happening in year 2 this afternoon. Miss Nolan and I were blown away with how creative all the children were with thier decoration ideas to make their hedgehogs look spiky. Well done everyone.

Y2 your work has been amazing today! Lots of brilliant expedition work has blown us away! There has been some brilliant maths work including lots of thought going into reasoning questions! Well done for being Have a go Henrys.

Well done to our Year 2 superstars for their terrific learning today. They have been busy making great links in their maths learning today focusing on measurements and capacity. Children have been Connecting Connie’s by reading the scales on a thermometer and using < and >.

They’ve also been busy making their owl collages and life cycles. Well done to everyone on making them so unique and different! They are all so fantastic!!
