I notice lots of maths challenges being completed.

I praise answering the questions about the story- I know we are all big fans of Percy the Park keeper.

I wonder if anyone can record a fact about one of our animals for expedition this week. I would love to have lots of our class in our final product.

See you all tomorrow morning for another hangout and fun day of learning, there’s a little surprise that I am going to share tomorrow with you all so keep checking the classroom.

A WOW Wednesday in Year 2!

It’s been a great day in Year 2! More telling the time and solving problems in maths today and some amazing writers showing off their skills today with a descriptive piece of writing about the woods where the owls from Owl Babies might live.

Special shout out to Rosie for her poster for everyone at Green Top- Be Kind, Teamwork, Dreamwork! It’s amazing Rosie and so bright and colourful!!! It’s made us all smile today!!!

Our Learning Legends in Year 2 today have been amazing writers today:

Nigella and Amy has got this today for being Connecting Connie’s in their descriptive pieces of writing today. They have both thought hard to include lots of our green standard features and have included lots of exciting vocabulary too. As well as what they have written, they have both written in their most beautiful handwriting too!

Well done girls!

Keep up the great work everyone!! We are so impressed by you all!!

Tremendous Tuesday in Year 2!

Year 2 is full of super stars today! We’ve been blown away by all of the learning we’ve seen today.

It has been brilliant to see lots of you join in with the timed challenges today- lots of you said that the hopping challenge was the trickiest because it was the longest.

You’ve all thought carefully about what our characters from Owl Babies might say and have used inverted commas for speech.

Well done everyone!!

Here are our Year 2 learning legends for today:

Eve for being a Light Bulb Leo today for her fabulous piece of music that she has composed for a butterfly. If you close your eyes, it really feels like you’re outside and you can picture the butterflies peacefully fluttering around!

and

Joel for also being a Light Bulb Leo too for his ‘Owl finding food’ music. He used different instruments and really thought about pitch and the pace of the sounds to match the animal. You super star Joel!
