Year 2 Marvellous Monday Work 1.6.2020

Year 2 have worked so hard today on Monday’s maths and expedition learning! Here are just a few photos so that you can see what we’ve been up to…

The children have worked hard to create collages of butterflies and also design a life cycle of a butterfly in a way of their choosing. We love that they have all been so different and creative as well as bright and colourful.

Well done everyone. What a great start to the work. Keep up the hard work!!

Today’s learning legends for Year 2 are… lots of Exploring Eddie’s

Nigella for her wonderful collage of butterfly eggs on a leaf. She’s been such an Exploring Eddie gathering lots of materials to make her collage and it looks fabulous!

and

Rosie for her giant butterfly collage and life cycle of a butterfly. Rosie used all natural materials from her own garden on her collage and it was fab.

and

Freya F for her fab life cycle of a butterfly. Freya was really creative on how she set her life cycle out and made it 3D by including things to stand away from the page making it look really effective.

Super star girls!!

I praise lots of fun in the sun with social distancing be followed.

I wonder of we can all join in with hangouts on Monday so we can have a catch up with our class.

Thank you for having me this week class 7, Mrs Faulding and Mrs Burton will be back to look after year 2 on Monday. I will be on hangouts every morning to check in with class 8.

I have seen so many WONDERFUL pieces of work today that it’s been very hard to choose.

Well done to JJ and Jake!

JJ- You tried very hard to complete your English work neatly and include capital letters and full stops.

Jake – Your book review was fantastic telling us what your favourite part of the story was. It was very bright and colourful too.

Terrific Tuesday’s in Year 2

Well done everyone! What a fab day we’ve had!!

We’ve had predictions written about our story Tadpole’s Promise, used positional vocabulary in maths and have places objects in certain places and described them and some have even used a compass and explained the direction of places.

We’ve also had brilliant Expedition learning handed in- life cycle’s of butterflies, invitations to caterpillar’s and butterflies to come to their garden’s and also fact file posters on hedgehogs and how to help them.

We’ve all been very busy bees! Keep up the super efforts everyone and keep this beautiful work coming in!
