Key Stage 1 half term video

Jerusalema KS1 video link

As part of mental health and well being week last week Key Stage 1 enjoyed learning a dance that has gone viral and really wanted to do their own…who are we to let them down 🙂

So, we have an end of term video that Key Stage 1 would love to share with you.

Thank you to children at home and in school and to parents and carers for all of your hard work and supporting school in everything we do.

Have a lovely half term

Pyjama Day in Class 8

It might have been PJ day in school today but it has been far from lazy so we are all very ready for a great half-term break!
Well done to all the boys, girls & grown-ups for their hard work this half-term … We look forward to coming back in a week’s time.

Maths Madness

This week we have been learning all about position and direction, including clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. Despite finding some of this learning challenging, I have been really proud of how the children have grappled with this to succeed by the end of the week – well done everyone!

Abstract Volcanoes

Everyone really enjoyed their abstract art work with Miss Walton yesterday afternoon. It was great to see their unique ideas.

Generating headings in school and online

It has been great to see how everyone has been able to get involved with today’s English learning. We had to read a range of different texts and see if we could come up with our own headings.

Fabulous fossils

We have had great fun this week making our own fossils in expedition. We used bread to show the different layers of rock then gummy sweets to represent the dead animals.

Forget snowmen in year 3 ….

So a small group of our year 3 children today embraced the snow and our expedition learning and combined them together, in a pretty impressive way I might add.

Forgetting the traditional snowman fun they opted for building Mount Vesuvius erupting with its very own ash cloud!

AMAZING!

Friday dancing & smiling

To celebrate children’s mental health week, Class 8 have been getting real funky this Friday by learning the Jerusalema dance. We all agreed that having fun & moving our bodies to music was a good way to make us all smile 🙂 if you have time at home, why not give the dance a go by finding a tutorial on YouTube?!
