Green Top’s Digital Leaders

Children from Year 2-5 had a fun-filled time at XP East today as we met up with children who are also digital leaders from across the trust. We began the day with a brilliant tour of XP and XP East before working hard to understand the role of a digital leader, why digital leaders are important and the qualities a digital leader should have. I was blown away by the children’s efforts and collaboration but also the courage they demonstrated to share their ideas in front of a big audience! A great day was had by all and the children will now share their learning with the leadership team at Green Top. Thank you to Mr. Portman and XP for having us for the day…we had a great time!

Class 7 Digital Leaders

Congratulations to both Annabel and Francesca who have been chosen by Mr Taylor to be the digital leaders for class 7 in 2021/22 … well done both, we look forward to seeing you in your new roles! A big thank you also goes to all of the other children who applied as well, I know Mr Taylor had a really tough job making his final decision. Remember, if you weren’t successful this time there will be further opportunities as you move through school.

Learning legend was awarded by Mrs Green today and given to Annabel for her fantastic attitude in class as well as her home learning, where she made a story using all of the common exception words for her spelling practice. A great start to the half-term – well done!

End of Spring Term 1

It’s been a busy last day of term today for Class 7, who have been learning all about position and direction. We have been practising our right and left turns as well as linking these to clockwise and anti-clockwise instructions.

Friday celebrations and shout outs go to Poppy for her enthusiasm in home learning, and to Bliss who has had a wonderful last day with us before starting her new school after half term … good luck Bliss, we will all miss you so much!
