Congratulations to all our HOWL point and OOTW winners – it was great to come together this morning and celebrate your achievements in our phase crew. Thank you to the parents who were able to join us to celebrate as well.

A few reminders – don’t forget to mark your HOWL points as you go; see Miss Myers if you would like to join the choir and attend Young Voices in February; and, we look forward to seeing your Ronald Dahl dress ups next week!

Y5/6 Expedition Homework Menu

Hi, please find the Y5/6 homework menu attached. In addition, reading is a vital life skill, please support us by listening to your child at least 3 times a week. As SATs is fast approaching, reading daily will support your child’s reading fluency and accuracy. Books read at home can contribute to your child’s Accelerated Reader data. Kind Regards, Mr Mumby

Y5/Y6 OOTW Phase Assembly

It was a pleasure to invite parents back to our OOTW phase assembly for the first time this morning – thank you to those who could make it to help celebrate their children receiving OOTW certificates for their achievements in school today. A big well done to all the other children who also received shout outs and HOWL certificates as well … who will be celebrating next Thursday?

Year 2 Graduate from Key Stage 1!

Congratulations Year 2 on a fabulous year to end your Key Stage 1 journey … you have all been amazing and we are so proud of you 🙂 Mrs Shaw and Mrs Dutton x

To celebrate our end of year, we have enjoyed a graduation celebration complete with cap and gown, as well as a final rendition of our Key Stage crew song – The Climb:

Class 7: A Fond Farewell

Class 7 have been busy enjoying their last morning together … tidying, singing, dancing and playing! We definitely deserved ice-pops for our playtime.

I would just like to take a moment to thank you all for your lovely gifts for the end of term – they are all so gratefully received 🙂 It’s been a real pleasure to be Class 7’s teacher this year and I wish everyone a wonderful summer break with their families. Mrs Dutton x

Y2 all scream for ice cream!

Each week the crew with the best attendance wins £5 to add to their piggy bank and spend as they wish at the end of the term. In true crew spirit, our Year 2 crews decided to club together and treat everyone in Y2 to an ice-cream! A very yummy treat on a very hot Friday 🙂

XP Climate Conference ’22

On Thursday Evening, Miss Tortora and I had the pleasure of attending a learning celebration at XP East. It was a fantastic event to raise awareness of the impacts of Climate Change and what we can do as a community to help.

A huge shoutout to all of the children from across the Primary schools that attended and presented in front of over a hundred people. They shared their learning journey from our Spring Expedition ’Why should we protect our beautiful planet?’ In particular a big thank you to Thia, JJ and Georgia, along with their parents that represented Green Top. An added shout out to Jersey and Dexter for being a HUGE help selling the CD’s on our stall.

It was a great way to celebrate and showcase our Final Product and music video!
