Choir – Thorne Christmas Light Switch On!
Next Friday is the Christmas Light Switch on at Thorne Market Place. Choir/Young Voices Crew have been invited to go along to join with other children from other primary schools to sing songs and join in the festivities.

Year 5 – Goooaaalll! ⚽️
This afternoon, we enjoyed watching Englands first World Cup game and what a great result! Everyone definitely enjoyed celebrating all 6 goals! We even finished off with a rendition of Sweet Caroline! what a fab afternoon! 🏴

This afternoon Crew Barnett had their film time reward for achieve the most HOWL points in year 5 and 6 last week. Keep up the great work everyone!
Class 14 – Children in Need
Thank you to everyone for your donations! In crew, we looked at this years T-shirt designed by author and illustrator Liz Pichon. Liz, who illustrates the Tom Gates novels, designed this years T-shirt using doodles. What do you think of our designs?
Y5/6 Crew Meeting / OOTW
Another fantastic Year 5 and 6 phase meeting this morning, full of shout outs and praises for hard work and acts of kindness. Well done everybody!

Y5/6 Science lecture at Trinity
This morning, Y5 and Y6 visited Trinity to listen to a science lecture linked to their expedition about space and forces. This gave them the opportunity to experience what it is like to give a lecture and present their learning. This will support them in preparing their own for our celebration of learning.
Well done everyone for being great ambassadors for Green Top, with excellent learning attitudes and behaviour whilst on our visit. I know you impressed Mr Taylor, Head of Science, with your subject knowledge.
Y5/6: Community Meeting
Y5 / Y6 Community Crew and OOTW
This morning was our first opportunity to come together as a phase crew since returning to school after the half-term. It was a great to hear what everybody had been learning in class this week and to celebrate a fantastic start to the term – well done everybody, keep up the fab work!
Special shout outs for those children receiving HOWLs certificates today, and to our OOTW champions too. Who will be celebrating next week?
