Some photographs from this afternoon’s fire starting session!
We’ve had some toasted crumpets as an after dinner snack! They were delicious topped with either honey or jam!
The children are all set up in their tents ready for the afternoon session!
We’ve not wasted anytime before getting stuck in at Austerfield! We’re having lots of fun building shelters!
Last Thursday, Learning Council was invited to be apart of the D Day service in Thorne Memorial Park. They stood and listened carefully and respectfully and then confidently stood and recited a D Day poem along with children from other primary schools from Thorne and Moorends.
It was an honour to go along and be a part of such a special occasion to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the D Day landings and I was super proud of all the children!
Our KS2 children have all enjoyed their disco this evening … sweets, treats and plenty of dancing!! A big thank you to the Friends of GreenTop for organising this fab event for our children 🙂
Well done to Eoghan who has been completing tasks from the home learning menu. He has managed to prepare himself a delicious looking meal at home with dessert to go with it. Keep it up Eoghan!
Today our Year 4 enjoyed an athletics PE session practising their long jumps. We used iPads and an app called ‘measure’ to measure the distance of each jump. Great work everyone!
Just a reminder that Y4 PE will now be on a Tuesday afternoon and children will require outdoor kit.
Following the Year 6 visit to Crucial Crew on Monday, a useful handout about keeping safe around dogs has been shared. Please share and discuss with your children.
