Celebrating the Jubilee!

We’ve had the most special day celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee today. We have created royal pop art in the style of Andy Warhol, enjoyed a royal feast aka a chicken burger…we’ve heard it’s Her Majesty’s favourite dish right now to eat and have also enjoyed reading about the Queen’s journey during her reign and watched the most gorgeous short film about The Queen’s hat going on an adventure.

All in all, it’s been fab!

I feel lucky that I have got to share it with my wonderful crew πŸ™‚

Performing Poetry

It was also great to make links between the poem β€˜Dreams of Escape’ and our science case study, discussing changing state.

You’ve all been getting smart today by working collaboratively across two crews! You stars!

Well done!

Our changing state experiment!

We’ve been scientists and writers in today’s expedition lesson. We’ve loved this morning investigating how the temperature can change when a block of ice changes state.

As well as getting smart with our scientific knowledge, we’ve also used this experiment to work on our writing features too as we wrote up our experiment and plotted the results on to a graph.

Well done guys, I’m proud of how sensible you conducted yourselves during this investigation and your great predictions you had.

Year 4 Family Learning

Well done to everyone on taking part in our very own Dragon’s Den by designing your very own sweet treat! It was a brilliant afternoon with lots of smiles and enthusiasm.

Our Green Top dragon’s were so impressed by all of your ideas too and had a challenging task by deciding our winners.

In case you’ve missed it, check out our previous post for the winners!

The results are in…the dragons have decided!

First of all, a huge well done to everyone on a wonderful family learning event yesterday.

We loved all of your product designs and how much thought and effort you put in to them to make them unique. Also, well done to those who stood up to present their product- it takes a lot of bravery and courage to stand up and do what you did!

It was a difficult decision to make because the dragon’s loved them all however, here are the 3 worthy winners!
