The BBC are giving away FREE Blue Peter badges to children aged between 6 and 15! The badge allows you to gain free entry to over 200 attractions across the UK including Museums and Zoos.

Browse the badges available on the Blue Peter website and follow the instructions of how to apply… it may be that your child needs to send in a poem, a letter or rhyme etc.
Great idea to keep the young ones occupied!

If you are attending Axholme Academy you should have received this today:

Good morning,

We are going to be sending out transition tasks from our subject leaders throughout the next few weeks to prepare your child for life at The Axholme Academy and for our staff to get to know them a little bit better.

The first task has been set by the PE Department, which is a ‘player profile’ that has been included in an attachment below. Your child can either complete this electronically or print it off, fill it in and take a photo of it to send. I have included the document in both Publisher and PDF format to ensure you can access it.

Please send this completed task to Mr Beesley on [email protected]

Any issues, please feel free to get in touch

Kind Regards,
Mrs Winder

Maths opportunity

Good morning,

A new online system has been brought to our (Trinity Academy) attention that could potentially support all Year 6 students.

All students at Trinity Academy receive their Mathematics homework through Hegarty Maths, an online system that can give instant feedback. This morning we have been emailed with a very exciting opportunity for all our feeder schools.

Mr Hegarty has released a new branch of HegartyMaths called Numerise which is aimed towards Year 6 students, to help keep them mathematically fresh over this difficult period and make them ‘Secondary Ready’.

Due to the current situation, they have made a free course for all Year 6 students to use and it will be free until September 2020. Parents, carers and families have the ability to be able to gain information on their child’s progress and track what they have done. Any further information you require and how to join can be found through this link.

This is in no way part of the transition work that Trinity Academy will be providing and is not compulsory for any student. It is simply an exciting opportunity that we felt families may want to use during the lead up to their child joining Trinity Academy.
