Thank you to the parents who attended our family learning session today. The children had great fun experimenting with circuits by adding bulbs and switches whilst also learning about conductors and insulators. My favourite part of family learning was our parents joining in with crew 15’s end of the day critique!
Year 6 enjoyed a lovely walk to Thorne North station to see where our learning exploration product is going to be placed. They were so mature and sensible and knew exactly how to keep themselves safe!
Class 15 are enjoying their new classroom environment linked to our theme of Harry Potter and British Rail. We have a platform 9 and 3/4, range of seating options and areas promoting collaboration. As a crew, we are proud of our environment and we are working hard to keep it perfect. Parents are welcome to take a peak at the start of a school day and see our amazing learning space!!
Class 15 had great fun yesterday with some practical learning. We investigated circuits and looked at what happens if we add extra cells or bulbs to it. Great work guys!
Year 5/6 had an absolutely great time at Austerfield building relationships with their crew and developing their collaboration and team work skills!

Well done to both Amelia and Jake for being Learning Legends this week. Amelia has been extremely helpful around the classroom and has shown a great attitude to life in year 6 and Jake impressed me with his reading after being a little bit shy at the start. I also want to thank the other 17 children in Crew Mumby too, you have shown a great attitude that will equip you well through the year 6 journey. I’m looking forward to a week of great learning next week. Enjoy your weekends!
