Year 3/4 Christmas production and costumes

Year 3 and 4’s Christmas production will take place on Tuesday 13th December with a 9.30am start. An email will be sent with further details soon.

Christmas parts with costume ideas have been allocated to those children who wanted a part and your child should have fetched a letter home. We do also have some costumes in school so please speak to class teachers if you would like to use this option.

If your child has not received one, it is because they have opted to be in the choir and can just wear normal clothes but with a Christmas element such as a Christmas jumper.

Please send your costumes in to school once you have them so we can support where needed.

If you have any further questions, please speak to class teachers.

As always, thank you for your support!

Year 3/4 HoWL Point winners!

Well done to these superstars this week for being awarded the Work Hard, Be Kind and Get Smart post cards in their crews. You’re all brilliant role models and all of your efforts are being recognised by your crew leaders. Keep it up guys!

A big shout out to Crew Faulding for being the overall HoWL point winners this week and spinning the prize wheel. Mrs Faulding will get your hot chocolate sorted asap!

Being Kind in Crew Faulding

In Community Crew this week, we focussed on kindness. We discussed what kindness looks and feels like as well as recapping on our crew Be Kind norms.

We then randomly picked a name of our crew out the pot and wrote them a kindness postcard. We focussed on qualities such as being respectful, kind, helpful, good listeners and good friends. We really enjoyed sharing these postcards and putting a smile on everyones faces 🙂

Crew Faulding, you certainly make me smile everyday- Mrs Faulding x

Accelerated Reader time!

We had a gorgeous Accelerated Reader session on Thursday this week.

We’ve really mastered these norms now and everyone was super engaged and getting lost in reading their books. There were lots of quizzes being passed too!

Also, a huge shout out to those children who have brought their reading packs in everyday this week and also for quizzing at home on your books too. I am noticing a huge difference with our AR data!

Keep it up superstars!

We are artists!

This week in Expedition, we have blasted off in Case Study 3 which is an art focus this time. We’ve been recapping on some sketching techniques such as feathering, stippling and hatching/cross-hatching. We practised these techniques on drawings of WW2 objects.

It was great to see lots of focus during this lesson as we will need to master these skills in readiness for our final product!

Mrs Faulding 🙂
