We’ve been little DT superstars over the last couple of days! We have worked hard on gaining new skills, whilst working safely and hygienically!
Thank you so much to Albie’s grandad for coming in to talk to us about his allotment and how he plants and grows vegetables. He has kindly given both classes a strawberry plant, some cress and some peas. We can’t wait to watch them grow!
The children have celebrated by making pancakes today! They have absolutely loved them!
In KS1 Lunch Club we have been making thank you cards to show gratitude. We had a beautiful lunch club today and it was so lovely talking to the children about who they were making their cards for and seeing their lovely designs!
This week Miss Cooper’s group have been learning /ur/ ‘Purple turtle’.
Miss Rodgers phonics group have been continuing to learn the ‘split digraph’ sounds. This week they have been learning /i-e/ – In a while crocodile. Keep practising those red words ready for our upcoming assessment week!
I have seen some beautiful reading this week. The children’s confidence is growing week on week and it is so lovely to see. The children are also becoming much more confident with their sentence writing. Now we are working to secure our spelling skills. Keep it up – I am so proud of you.
In addition to this the children have also been doing some extra phonics lessons in the afternoons. This week and next week we will be learning the split digraph sounds like Miss Rodger’s and Mrs Clay’s group. So far we have learned /a-e/, /e-e/ and /i-e/. I wonder if you can read words for the sheets below?
In Crew, we worked on scenarios of how to resolve issues!
