Today’s Crew Challenge

This morning, we have been working together as a crew to solve the challenge of how to flip a sheet onto the other side without leaving the sheet. It was a very tricky challenge but the crew worked well developing their communication and team work skills.

Mmmm Jam Sandwich

Yesterday in class 16, we were given the task to create an algorithm linked to making a jam sandwich. We had great fun creating our algorithms as well as debugging our instructions along the way. In the end we managed to make a jam sandwich using a successful algorithm and I must say the sandwich was delicious!

Cup Tower Challenge

Yesterday in Crew Ambler, we had great fun working together as a team and competing against each other to create the biggest cup tower. We were not allowed to touch the cups with our hands we could only use string and elastic bands. Well done guys it was great to see fantastic team work from everyone.

How do you like your eggs in a morning? 🥚

How do your like your eggs in a morning? We like ours in parachutes!!

Yesterday, we put our parachutes to the test and tested who’s were successful in protecting their egg from being smashed!

All groups worked really hard throughout the week, showing great crew behaviours and working hard to communicate with each other and listen to ways they can improve their parachute.

We only had two smashed eggs so I thinks that’s an EGGSELLENT result! Well done everyone – we all enjoyed this activity (even myself and Mr Ambler!)

Crew Ambler Egg Challenge

Over the past 2 days in Crew Ambler, we started the challenge of creating our own protection device to protect an egg when dropped from a height. The children used a variety of resources and worked in teams to create them. Today we will be dropping the eggs. Good luck Crew Ambler!

FABULOUS NEWS FOR CHARLEIGH

Charleigh recently took her guitar exam and passed with a distinction. It was lovely to hear that this was announced as a surprise on the open mic night she is part of each month. Charleigh is also a regular singer on the open mic nights with her brother (and occasionally other members of the family too!). A true star in the making.

Well done Charleigh

Her is a video clip of Charleigh completing part of her music exam, she also completes lessons weekly in school with our guitar teacher John Guest. Lessons will resume for all students after Easter – look out for further information or ask your crew leader if you’re interested in learning how to play the guitar!
