A huge well done to all these superstars today for winning certificates in our phase assembly. Savannah grabbed the work hard prize, while Emelia and Harrison won the award for getting smart. Reeva and Radu were our be kind champions and birthday girl, Imogen and Shae picked up HoWL point awards. Reading awards went to Nathaniel for reading more than 30 books and to Ezra for reading the most times thus week.
Massively proud of you all !

An amazing week of kindness and support for each other and those less fortunate. Well done to the children who designed and made their C in N t shirts last Thursday and to everyone for their contribution to our whole school video for anti-bullying week. Great job everyone!

Fantastic sounding out and blending skills were displayed today by Bobby and Olivia. We are always talking in our class about how important it is to build skills in reading and it is obvious these two superstars have been practising at home. Great job guys!

I was so happy today to be able to award 4 postcards to Radu and Shae for amazing maths work, to Reeva for her fantastic work with rhyming words and to Anais for her kindness. Is awesome to see how the children in our class are making our HoWLs part of their every day habits.
So proud of you guys!

We would like to invite parents and carers to join KS1 in a celebration of our Autumn term expedition … What will I do to be a Superhero in my Community?
On Thursday 2nd December, we will be serving tea and coffee in the hall from 8.45am before sharing our learning with you. We will then invite you to join us on a march to promote litter picking in the local area, an important message that the children in KS1 feel particularly passionate about sharing with everyone.
We hope you will be able to join us on the morning of Thursday 2nd December.
Kind regards,
everyone in the KS1 team 🙂
Anti-bullying week began with our odd sock day today.
We celebrated difference, which sometimes is a cause of bullying behaviour and discussed the definition of bullying – unwanted, aggressive behaviour, either mental or physical, that happens on purpose, over and over again.
We all agreed that it shouldn’t happen and talked about what we should do if we feel we are being bullied.
Great conversations everyone x

As part of our celebration of learning for this current expedition, we would like the children to create their own pickets and signs which relate to recycling and putting litter in the bin.
We intend to use them as part of our march in the local community on Thursday 2nd December.
Please complete and bring your picket into school by Monday 29th November – thank you!
There will be a small prize in each class for the best design.
Can’t wait to see what you create,
Mrs Shaw and the key stage 1 team! X
Kalab and Lexi were the winners of our postcards for today. Excellent learning habits shown by both in their 3D shape lesson taught by Mr. Wright. So proud of you guys!

How lovely it was to all be back together for the first time in almost 2 years this morning when we held our Out of This World assembly. I was overjoyed to finally be able to reward Junior and Shae for their hard work and dedication since beginning year 1. I am positive they will be fantastic role models for the rest of our class in the coming week. Excellent job you two ! X
