How wonderful it was to see and hear just how high our little learners are aiming for their future selves. We had lots of visitors who showed them the different opportunities open to them for future careers and certainly gave them lots to think about.

What an amazing way to end Spring term with our fantastic celebration to showcase all we have learned in our expedition. The children had great fun presenting their learning to their families and leading them in activities linked to keeping ourselves healthy. As always thank you all so much for your support. The turnout was awesome!
We have had SUCH an amazing day at the children’s museum in Halifax today. We found out lots of new things about our bodies as well as consolidating what we have already learned. The children were super well-behaved and had an awesome time. Check out the photos below for just some of our activities.
Due to the Y1 and Y2 trips taking place this week, Year 1 XP Outdoors and PE will take place on Thursday.

We will be holding a science event for our children to deliver to parents as part of the celebration of our current expedition.
Please come to the hall, we will be starting at 9.15 and it will last about an hour.
Year 2 parents – Wednesday 29th March – start at 9.15am

Our Martha showed amazing leadership skills on Friday when she led groups of children to complete an investigation into our fingerprints as part of her class councillor duties. Think I need to up my game or she will be taking over my job!

It was great to see you all in red and joining in with all of the crafts and experiments we have had happening. Above are some links to the key stage 1 children singing their phase song too, which felt extra special today. Happy Red Nose Day! It is great to see so many of you dressed in red to show your support today. Thank you for all your generous donations. The school council have one last challenge for you! Over the weekend, we wonder how many different red things you can find.
You could have a look around your house or even venture outside on a walk. Count how many different red things you can find to share with your crew on Monday. You could even take some pictures or draw what you can see.
WOW, what a week it has been this week, from all of KS1 staff, a huge thank you for everyones hard word during our assessment week. We have seen some incredible improvements, especially in maths. I think that might be down to the wonderful work done on TTRockstars and Numbots.
Our stewardship shoutouts this week were for children who have been keeping their classrooms neat and tidy and taking ownership of their actions, choosing to tidy up after themselves but also doing it for their peers too. It is lovely to see such kind and helpful children in our phase!
We even had an amazing reading shoutout for Thea this week for getting her Gold reading certificate! What a superstar.
The best attendance this week goes to Crew Rodgers, well done to everyone in Crew Rodgers, who can beat them next week?!
Another HUGE shoutout to our Out Of This World’s this week. We found it so hard to choose this week, as everyone has worked so hard, but big well done to Lauren, Luna, Ethan, Ava, Reid and Ava-Leigh!!
