Thank you to all of the adults that came to our family learning session yesterday! It was great fun dissecting flower and then drawing them. I was so impressed with the sketches – especially from the adults! We ended it with a very competitive game of Kahoot – well done to our winners!

Crew Knowles: E-Safety Day
We have really enjoyed our E-Safety drop down day today looking at lots of different aspects of the online world. We started by looking at the difference between the internet and the world wide web and how we are all connected through the internet. We then looked at the positives and negatives of the online world and learned that it can actually be very beneficial to us in our every day life!
Although the internet has lots of positives, we learned the importance of ensure that we find the right balance of screen time and non-screen time. We listened to a great story which helped us to understand this! Why not listen to it here?
We then focused on digital kindness and cyberbullying and how we can keep ourselves safe online by speaking to a trusted adult about any concerns we have. Well done guys, we’re all E-Safety savvy after today!

Geography club
After learning about the layers of the earth last week, we took a more detailed look at our Earth’s crust today. Learning that it is made up of the continental crust and the oceanic crust and what makes up these layers (mostly different types of rock). Here is the way they have captured their learning this week. Next week we are looking at what surrounds the Earth, our atmosphere (and believe it or not, that’s also in layers!).
Year 3/4 out of this world winners.
Just look at the smiles, it says it all. Well deserved winners this week and some fantastic comments about all their achievements. Well done everyone.
