Class 9 | Home Learning

During the recent half term, Arnie has been working on acts of kindness. Arnie has donated his old blankets to the Salvation Army and also become a volunteer at his local Cats Protection Charity.

Arnie has also shown kindness by teaching his younger sister to draw, which by all accounts has really tested his ability to stay patient! Well done Arnie!

Geography club – what are we learning?

So far we have looked at what geography is, how the earth is structured and how the earth crust is divided and what it’s made up of. To do so we have made an all about geography poster, made a model of the earth’s layers and recreated the earth’s crust diagram. All of which have been fabulous and of lovely quality! Well done Geographers!!

Class 12: Scientists at work

We have been learning about the digestive system as this is what our section of the product is about, so it was important we got a lot of information and more importantly that we understood the information we had.

The children worked in groups, they had 3 activities to carry out all which increased their overall knowledge of the digestive system. Again I was so proud of their efforts and how hard they worked to understand our human biology.

Class 12: performance poetry in reading

Wonderful work from my beautiful class during our reading lessons this week. Here they are practicing their fluency in the form of performance poetry. They all worked really hard to use all areas of their reading fluency to support a mini performance reading. I was so proud of their efforts and courage in groups volunteering to share their work with the whole class.

Sponsored Read!

Everyone should have received a letter today via email explaining our exciting sponsored read event happening next week! Children will also (if they haven’t already) bring their sponsorship form home this week to start getting ready! Here is some more information about the event which we are running in conjunction with our Usborne partner Laura!
