Covid-19 UPDATE

I am sure after hearing the Prime Minister’s update at the same time as I did yesterday and then reading or hearing about the road map to rebuild you’ll have lots of questions. I will try to respond to each of you questions and create a ‘frequently asked questions – phased reopening’ on the parent support centre hosted on our website. Over the next 3 weeks I will be working with the trust leaders, local authority, governors, our Green Top leadership team and staff crew to create an appropriate phased plan to re opening alongside the daily briefings and information from the Department for Education. Our priority continues to be the care, safety and support of students and our Green Top community. At present we are awaiting further guidance from the Department for Education in how to ensure the initially partial reopening of school is safe.

As it stands until the 1st June when schools MAY reopen, schools remain closed unless for key worker or vulnerable children.

This remains unchanged. I know you will want to share your worries, concerns or have unanswered questions. I will communicate as often as necessary throughout this period of change to try to answer your questions, this will primarily be communicated through the school blog, as always. If you want to guarantee you don’t miss important updates please sign up to the email alerts.

If you’d like to share your concerns, questions or to pass a compliment to the staff team please use this form.

For now – STAY SAFE and KEEP SMILING

Thank you for the update Mrs Salter, as I have overheard more on the reopening would it be a concern if I chose to not take my children in if i believe that it may still be unsafe to start school. Thinking wisely if all pupils start at the same date and just by chance covid 19 is still around it would affect majority of pupils.
I understand you are looking into this further this is just my opinion.
    Thank you

    • I have replied to your questions by email Miss Moran. Please also see the ‘Phase return – FAQs’ section of the parents support centre.

Thank you for keeping us as up-to-date as possible – the parent FAQs were really useful. I would also like to say how fantastic your staff team have been and continue to be through all this crazy situation. You have all gone above and beyond to keep learning happening and support us as families. Thank you!

  3. Thanks for your kind comments I’ll share them with the staff team.

    Stay Safe
