Class 8 Become Builders

Last week class 8 became builders as we explored materials in our Science lesson. The children had time to independently explore the different types of materials and choose which they would like to use to build their very own castle. Some chose to build their own castle in the style of Lincoln Castle, with a draw bridge and a tower, others had a more abstract approach, but everyone worked hard in their teams to build a castle. We had a choice of wooden building blocks, large plastic building blocks, smaller lego style materials and other resources from around the classroom.

We all had lots of fun and really improved our team building skills while we were at it šŸ˜€

KS1 Community Crew

WOW what another amazing community crew we have had this afternoon!

Big shoutout to our HOWL point winners this week; Macky, Harrison, Arnie and Reuben, for all their hard work and great learning attitudes. Well done, superstars!

Another wonderful shoutout this week to our Out Of This World children too; Tilly, Grace, George, Hunter, Lennie and Reeva, who have all worked SO hard to follow our HOWLs and be the best versions of themselves.

We cant forget Crew Shaw, who this week had the most attendance and get to keep Paddington for the week! I wonder where he will go next…..
Remember, all your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, keep it up and YOU could be up there next week!!!!!

KS1 community meeting

This morning we have had the pleasure of a medieval meeting! KS1 celebrated some awesome achievements, including our Out Of This World superstars and those that have got the most HOWL points too!

Big well done to all KS1 for their hard work, attitudes to learning and kindness! We hope to see more of this next week…

Year 2 timetable

We are so proud of how year 2 have adapted over these past few weeks transitioning into a new year. We hope to see these awesome learning attitudes all year!

Just a few days for your diary; year 2 PE will be on a Thursday, but if you can send the children with their PE kit on a monday we can send it home on a Friday, that would be wonderful!

Book changing days this year are Tuesdays and Fridays, if the children manage to read all their books before book changing day then feel free to bring them in and we can either read them together if theres time or possibly even change them too! There is nothing wrong with reading a book more than once, I love reading books again and again!!

Thankyou! Miss Good and Mrs Shaw

As part of our final hook week events, we are going to have a themed dress up day on Friday next week (9th September). The idea is to have a medieval themed event day, with dancing, banquets and fun! Please don’t worry about buying themed outfits, normal party clothes are more than welcome. We will be making princess hats, crowns and other themed accessories during the week.
