A HUGE well done to Matilda for her amazing maths home learning. Matilda used her dolls and coins to share amounts equally. Amazing work Matilda! 10 HoWL points have been added to your Class Dojo.
In Literacy we are looking at writing lists by writing the letter shapes we know. Can you have a go at writing a list for something? It could be a list of your favourite toys, a shopping list, a list of the people who live in your house, a ‘to do’ list. Whatever you like! Think carefully about what letters look like and what sounds you can hear in words to help you.
In Maths this week we are looking at sharing equally. Can you use objects or drawings to show sharing amounts equally? Use plates and objects to help you.
E.g.
Can you share 6 biscuits between 3 children?
How many do they all get?
Is it the same?
Is it fair?
A few parents have been asking about applying for free school meals for when their child starts Reception. All children in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 are automatically offered a free healthy school lunch. Children in other school years will also be offered a free school lunch if their parent is receiving any of the welfare benefits.
Registering could raise extra money for Green Top
Registering for free meals could raise an extra £1,320 for Green Top Primary school, to fund valuable support like extra tuition, additional teaching staff or after school activities.
This additional money is available from central government for every child whose parent is receiving one of the welfare benefits listed in the form. It is therefore important to sign up for free school meals, even if your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2, so that your child’s school receives as much funding as possible.
Please register here if you think you may be eligible due to your circumstances. https://www.doncaster.gov.uk/services/schools/free-school-meals
Thanks,

From Monday 28th June, EYFS are asking for food donations to give to our local food bank. If you have anything in your cupboards to spare, all donations would be massively appreciated.
This is part of our expedition celebration. All food donations will be collected by the food bank on Thursday 1st July.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.
