We were so inspired by Mr Pickles rock and drumming session last week that we thought we would have a try for ourselves in our classroom. It was super noisy but soooo much fun!
We loved it and will definitely do it again! Well done everyone for having such a good go! Mrs Wallace x
This afternoon, Class 4 enjoyed a fantastic sensory break following a focused maths session. We took part in a lively chair drumming activity, exploring volume, rhythm, and beat. The children had a wonderful time drumming along to the upbeat tune of Golden – a fun and engaging way to round off the day!
This week in Crew, we are focussing on the Wicked Musical and will be enjoying lots of different songs and music from both the musical and film adaptation.
What a perfect chance to listen to and learn one of this years Young Voices songs!
What a great day we have had today. We have had a cheerleading session, a music session using the drum sticks and baseball available during lunch time. We would like to thank the dinner staff for making such a delicious lunch too! Well done Dominik for being our lunch time winner because he had the tray with a sticker on…and on his birthday too! Well done guys!
The children have had a wonderful time today celebrating our American-themed day! They thoroughly enjoyed their themed lunch, choosing between delicious chicken burgers or classic hotdogs, followed by a sweet treat of chocolate brownies and mini donuts – a real hit all around!
In Reception, the fun started early with some lively dancing in the hall led by Mrs Rayner, which got everyone moving and smiling. Later on, we had a fantastic musical session with Mr Pickles, who truly rocked it on the guitar! The children had a brilliant time joining in, playing along enthusiastically with their drumsticks.
It’s been a day full of energy, laughter, and great memories!
This week, our Crew Champions had the exciting opportunity to spend some extra time with Mr. Pickles in the music room. They explored a variety of instruments and had an absolute blast! The feedback was unanimous—they came back saying it was awesome!
We are excited to announce that auditions for this year’s school production will be taking place via video submission.
Your child will be bringing home a script for the role or roles they wish to audition for. To take part, they should record a short video of themselves reading for that part (or parts). If they would also like to include singing the relevant song, this can be found on YouTube.
Once recorded, please email your child’s audition video(s) to [email protected] no later than 3rd October.
This approach allows every child the opportunity to audition in a relaxed environment and ensures we can give each submission the time and attention it deserves.
We look forward to seeing the children’s talents shine and are excited to begin casting our production. Thank you in advance for your support in helping your child prepare their audition.
We’ve had a wonderfully creative day in Reception, filled with arts and crafts that helped us practise our scissor skills and develop our fine motor control. The children really enjoyed getting hands-on with different materials and showing off their creativity. We also had lots of fun on our green top stage, where the children explored musical instruments, played along to familiar tunes, and expressed themselves through dancing and singing to some of their favourite current songs. It’s been a joyful day full of music, movement, and creativity!
