Science investigation!

As part of our chemistry case study, we have been looking at the different states of matter as well as reversible and irreversible changes. We have looked at how steam locomotives work and used our knowledge to conduct an investigation to find out whether the properties of steam would make our pin wheel candle holder spin!

Figurative language

As part of our English cycle we completed our Red Box lesson today which focused on figurative language.

We looked at lots of different language techniques but focused more carefully recognising a hyperbole, simile, personification and metaphor!

Harry Potter Studios!

Wow! What an amazing day we’ve had at Harry Potter Studios! We’ve ridden broomsticks, entered the Forbidden Forest and boarded the Hogwarts Express!

Building Bridges

As part of our Hook Week, the children built bridges to link in with our learning about the history of British rail. Each bridge had to hold the weight of a toy train! We had some really solid bridges – well done guys!
