Y4 Swimming information

This week (Wednesday 6th / Thursday 7th March) it is survival skills week so the children need to bring clothes to wear over the top of their swimming costumes / shorts etc. Clothes could be pyjamas, leggings, tshirts etc. Please do not send your child with jeans, jumpers, onesies or anything that will be too heavy in the water.

Crew Knowles swimming – Wednesday 6th March information

Wednesday 6th March is also class photo day. Please send your children with hairbrushes and anything else you think they may need to use back at school. We will endeavour to make them look as presentable as possible for the photo!

Key stage 1 and Years 3 and 4 art gallery

There will be a combined Presentation of learning for Years 1, 2, 3 and 4 this term!

We have been so impressed by the children’s art work and can’t wait to share their work with you! There will be surprises, visitors and quizzes on the night too!

The event will take place on Friday 22nd March at 4pm.

We really hope you can join us in this exciting collaborative celebration.

If you have any questions, please speak to your child’s class teacher.

Crew Knowles: Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Wow! We have had the absolute best day at YWP today! The polar bears were fantastic and we loved watching them play in the water. We learnt so much about polar bears in the workshop and it was great to see the learning we have been doing in the classroom come to life!

Crew Knowles: English planning

Crew Knowles worked hard to plan their setting descriptions of Bear Island this week. They thought carefully about what the character might be able to see, hear, smell, taste and touch on the island and how these could be described. They’ve worked really hard on figurative language including alliteration, similes and personification so I can’t wait to read their final touchdowns!
